Terms of Use
Last updated November 4, 2026
Rapids is a live streaming site where viewers tip and subscribe to streamers, and payments settle on the Sui blockchain. By using Rapids you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Rapids.
1. Who can use Rapids
You must be at least 18 years old. Rapids is invite only during early access, so you need an invite code to sign up. You may not use Rapids if the law where you live does not allow it.
2. Your account and wallet
- You sign in with Google or with a Sui wallet such as Slush. Signing in with Google gives you a Sui account that only your Google login controls.
- Rapids never holds your money or your keys. We can't move funds out of your account, and we can't recover them for you.
- Keep your Google account and wallet secure. Anything sent from your account is treated as sent by you.
- Your channel name is yours while you follow these terms. We may take back names that impersonate someone, break these rules, or sit unused.
3. Tips and subscriptions
- Tips and subs are paid in SUI or USDC on Sui. A smart contract splits each payment in the same transaction it is sent, so the streamer is paid right away.
- Today the streamer receives 95% of a tip and 90% of a sub. The rest is the Rapids fee. Part of that fee goes to whoever invited the streamer (2%) and to whoever invited them (1%). We may change these rates; the rates in effect when you pay are the ones that apply.
- Subscriptions are prepaid for 1, 3 or 6 months and do not renew on their own.
- Blockchain payments can't be reversed. Tips and subs are final and are not refunded, including if a streamer stops streaming or is removed.
- You pay the small Sui network fee on anything you send.
4. Streamer coins
- Streamers can link a coin to their channel. Buy swaps your SUI or USDC for that coin through public Sui exchanges, routed for the best price. A 1% fee is taken from the amount you put in.
- Rapids does not create, own, review or endorse these coins. Their prices move fast and can go to zero. Nothing on Rapids is financial or investment advice. Only buy what you can afford to lose.
- Streamers may not make false or misleading claims about a coin, or use their stream to manipulate its price.
5. Payouts and cash out
You choose where your earnings go: your Rapids account, a Slush wallet, an exchange, or another Sui address. Exchanges have their own rules, and some only accept certain coins on Sui. Funds sent to a wrong address or an unsupported coin may be lost for good. Check the address before you send.
6. Content rules
You are responsible for what you stream, say in chat, and post on your profile. Do not stream or post:
- Nudity, sexual content, or sexual services
- Anything that sexualizes, endangers or exploits a minor
- Hate speech or slurs, harassment, threats, or encouraging violence or self-harm
- Illegal activity, including illegal gambling, drugs or weapons sales
- Scams, impersonation, or attempts to get people's logins or recovery phrases
- Other people's private information, or anyone filmed without their consent where consent is required
- Content you don't have the rights to, such as TV shows, movies or music you are not allowed to share
We use automated checks, including a word filter on chat and names and a nudity check on live video. Streamers can delete messages and ban viewers from their own chat. We may remove content, end a stream, take away a channel name, or ban an account that breaks these rules, with or without notice. Use the Report button on any channel to tell us about a problem.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you stream and post. You give Rapids permission to host, stream, show and store it so the service works, and to show your channel name, picture and clips of your public streams when promoting Rapids. If you believe something on Rapids uses your work without permission, email us with the channel and what it copies, and we will look into it.
8. Taxes
You are responsible for any taxes on what you earn or buy on Rapids.
9. Other services
Rapids relies on services we don't control, including the Sui network, Google sign-in, Mysten Labs (Slush), Shinami, Cloudflare, public Sui exchanges and swap routers, and the exchanges you cash out to. Their terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their outages or mistakes.
10. Early access, no warranty
Rapids is new and in early access. Features may change, break or go away. Rapids is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Rapids is not liable for lost profits, lost funds, lost data, or indirect damages, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid Rapids in the 3 months before the claim.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using Rapids at any time. Your Sui account and its funds stay yours. We may suspend or end access to Rapids for anyone who breaks these terms or puts other users at risk.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you on the site before it takes effect. Using Rapids after a change means you accept the new terms.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
